Golden, OR

One of the most memorable trips we ever took was to southern Oregon on assignment, where we were completely enchanted by the sights and experiences. The haze and moody weather felt like stage settings, shifting the landscape every hour. We even met the mayor of the small town we stayed in — shout out to Mayor Pete. The house itself was nestled on the Rogue River, the perfect home base, with evenings spent listening to the mellifluous rush of the water just outside.

Crescent City, CA

Evergreen pines as far as the eye could see — stretching all the way to the coastal redwoods we visited in Northern California, deep in the Jedidiah Smith State Forest. We had no shortage of stunning views and unforgettable moments. For someone based in the Southeast at the time, scenes of true old-growth forests felt almost unreal, like stepping into a world seldom seen back home.
